Terms of Service
Last updated 25 June 2026 · Maintained by the CINERA team
CINERA is an early-stage, unincorporated project based in the United Kingdom. These terms govern your use of the CINERA website and services. By creating an account, uploading work, or watching films, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
1. Who can use CINERA
You must be at least 16 years old to create a CINERA account, upload films, or transact on the platform. If local law in your country sets a higher minimum age for online services or for the content shown, that higher age applies.
You're responsible for the security of your account and for everything that happens under it.
2. What CINERA is for
CINERA is a streaming and distribution platform for AI-native films and series — work where artificial intelligence is a primary tool used to tell a deliberate, narrative story. Documentaries, fiction, animation, experimental cinema and narrative shorts are all welcome.
CINERA is not a general video host, social feed, clip site, livestreaming service, or adult-content platform.
3. Content policy
We moderate uploads. Films that fall into any of the categories below will be rejected at review, removed if discovered after publication, and may result in the uploader losing access to the platform and any pending earnings.
Mature themes, violence, nudity in a clearly narrative context, difficult subject matter and political storytelling are welcome — CINERA is a cinema, not a kids' channel. The line we draw is between story and spectacle for its own sake. When in doubt, ask first.
4. Your uploads
You keep ownership of the films you upload. By uploading, you grant CINERA a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream, transcode, promote, and display your work on the platform and in CINERA marketing materials for as long as the film is published with us. The licence ends when you remove the film, except where we need to retain copies briefly for legal, backup, or moderation reasons.
You confirm you have all the rights you need to upload the work — including rights to any underlying source material, music, voice performances, and the likeness of any real person depicted.
5. Monetisation and payouts
CINERA operates a transparent revenue split: creators receive 70% of net revenue attributable to their work (subscription pool share, rentals and tips), CINERA retains 30% to run the platform. Pool allocations are based on watch time and completion rate. Payouts, thresholds and supported countries will be published in the Studio dashboard as the payments stack is rolled out.
We don't pay out on films that are removed for breaching the content policy, and we reserve the right to withhold payouts where we reasonably suspect fraud or artificial inflation of views.
6. Moderation and removal
CINERA staff review uploads before they go live. We may also re-review films after publication, including in response to viewer reports. We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access where we believe these terms have been broken. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
You can request the removal of your own films at any time from your Studio dashboard.
7. Service availability
CINERA is in closed beta. Features may change, break, or be withdrawn. We try not to lose your work, but you should keep your own master copies of anything you upload.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CINERA is provided "as is" and we exclude all implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice through the app or by email.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For questions about these terms, or to report a film that breaches the content policy, email cineratv@gmail.com.
